This a very busy page; give yourself
time to learn all the information available here before
a rain event. If you learn the inputs which
created the
flowpage, and use the maps
in the other section of this site . You can become your own
weatherman by using this page ...you will get more
boating in...too much information is not a problem when
you need to decide where to boat.
Here are some links to help you figure out where the
rain fell to help you make an informed decision on where
to go boat. Even if it's not on the ridge.
Rain Gages:
Please check our flowpage
first we have a ton on it!
We have statewide gages on it.
Okay
here is my favorite it's from Channel 9 News and it uses
Weather Bug readings from the local schools, with it and
the flowpage You can be 90% on what's running. Click on
the Green dots to see where it rained
Click
Here or on the picture below
So after that you can tell by the next window to see
where the hourly rain fell.
CLICK HERE It has downloadable map also.
"Hourly Gridded Rainfall" It is in beta and needs to be
clicked so they will fund the project. It's not your
Grandfathers radar. Once learned you can really get runs
dialed in.

Below is an example of the summary

The ole standby the weather channel is
hard to beat, to be quick and dirty and you want to use the zip code
37367 , it's for Pikeville, but it shows the true
temperature for what the mountain really is. No more
surprises. Click on the picture or the link, the zip
code has been preset

Okay tech geeks! This is a better NOAA
page that has script written into it to perform
automatic uCellphonetes! So you get to see a running
