The List

Here is a list of the same creeks by classification, please don’t think this is an all inclusive list. We basically wanted to show what was the easiest to the hardest to run. The list is shoehorned. Some of the creeks are borderline on where they should be, and were dropped down in classification to fit in a slot, especially when considering their water levels, time of year and what gives them the extra warranted risk of a higher classification i.e. (Gradient, volume, risk of life, rescue access etc.) This is a list

to use as a BASELINE ONLY, for better clarification please read the individual creek descriptions by clicking on their links.

Author's side note:

As I researched these creeks, I found many ideas, articles and opinions.  The format and organization that is represented on this webpage is one that did not seem to be represented by the other ideas out there.  It is certainly possible that someone else has employed this before. If so, I apologize for the lack of attribution, but note that I did arrive independently at all of my conclusions and opinions for the write-ups for these creeks. As we try to capture details of the rapids and creeks, remember that they have been there for generations before we “discovered” them for ourselves.

If you happen to a take an interest in this section, please report back through the feedback on your experiences and recommendations. This is "open source collaboration" in every since of the word (to borrow a phase from the software industry) and it will strengthen this website for all of us. You will get full credit for any help given, and ANY help is fully appreciated. Your pictures are fully appreciated also.

***Warning label***

Whitewater paddling is VERY Dangerous, and you should get instruction before ever attempting even to paddle flatwater. One of contributors to this web site has personally helped bury 3 kayaking friends, this isn't a joke. Whitewater paddling can ruin your life through accidents and can effect your family and friends throughout a lifetime.

The information on this page is incomplete, inaccurate, and very unreliable.   Use with caution.  Whitewater paddling is a dangerous sport and the information here is not a substitute for actual knowledge and skill.  The authors are not liable for your actions. Go ahead and kill yourself if you want to, but don't blame others for you actions and decisions that you will make on and off the river.
