North River Campground

Shuttle:
FS Road 217 runs alongside the river for the entirety
of the run.
Put-in:
The put-in is the North River Campground where the
river pulls away from the road.
Camping can be had at the put-in
Put-in

Take-out:
Take-out at the confluence with the Tellico.
Hazards:
Are trees and you must scout the entire run from the
road before running it to make sure you know the
location of the strainers.
Steel Cable:
There is a hikers crossing and at higher water this
comes into play.
Level:
3.5 and above on the Tellico gage.
River Description
The North River is a a small feeder of the Tellico that
actually merges with the Tellico in its upper reaches to
help give it its size. Its a roadside stream
featuring a number of small ledges, the biggest being
almost 8-10 feet tall.The ledges with good water can
be more fun that the normal the Tellico ledges section
One of the cascades its about 8 ft tall.............
