Greetings
from Spring City, Tennessee, home and right in the middle of Walden's
Ridge; one of the prettiest places on earth.
As you can tell from the picture on the left, we are boaters just like
you and not someone just selling XYZ product to a unknown person we
don't care about. We are paddlers helping paddlers
.
Consumers are changing the way they shop. It's on-line now. We are all
busier now in our hectic lives and working longer hours. Shopping on-line frees up those
important weekends to unwind and detoxify.
Our goal with WaldensRidgeWhiteWater.com/store is to be an just like
brick and mortar store without the hassle. As a small operated business, I
have the opportunity to make choices that the larger stores can't. We like
being a specialty retailer for WhiteWater only. We don't sell rafting
trips, climbing gear, or jackets for you to run around town showing off
a logo.
Another good thing about us, if you call or email us, you don't get a call
center, you get me. (I might be on another line or in the back working
on a boat, but I will call you back) We know the gear we sell and we
might not have as much as the big boys but you will get your most bang
for the buck. Our return policy is ground breaking. Just try it on, if
you don't like it. Email me, then return it unused,, with all its tags,
gently opened plastic bag and ship it back. That's it!
We are a very small shop that is very lucky to have friends
that volunteer their time to help us with our graphics, coding ,and
ideas to help our store succeed. Without them we would be lost. Its
truly a group effort of paddling friends helping padding friends, who
see our same vision.
We also want to be the place for you to find information about
paddling in East Tennessee and Lookout Mountain ,Georgia. We provide
flowpages, creek write-ups, maps, and we also provide a paddler's forum
so you can find people to boat with. We live , eat and breathe paddling 24-7.

The "UGLY Box" Story
We believe in helping the environment and believe in
common sense and reuse. We have agreements with local stores in
our area for them to save their shipping boxes. Some might be a used
liquor box or a box used at the local food store. But it has had another
life before we got a hold of it : )
We in turn take those boxes and turn them inside out and
reuse them and then place a "Warning Ugly Box -We Recycle " sticker on
the box.
We do this also to save you money by keeping our shipping
cost down, and passing those savings on to you. If you get a fancy box
with a company logo on it. Buyer beware you paid for that logo.
Sure it would be easier just to buy a case pre-made logoed boxes, and
going around collecting boxes adds to our day. But that's what we aren't
about. Doing the right thing is.
Also with every purchase if it will
fit, you get a pack of cookies with every purchase. Its our way to let
you know that we actually packed the box and we care that you thought
enough to help support the little guys. It's our way of saying thank you
: )
